What it is used for
It treats multiple myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow, usually together with other medicines, under a cancer specialist.
How to use it
It is given as a drip in a hospital or cancer clinic, exactly as prescribed. Store it as stated on the pack.
Cautions
It can affect the heart, kidneys, lungs and blood counts, so regular checks are needed. Tell your doctor about any breathlessness, chest pain or swelling of the legs.
