This Privacy Policy explains how Bonamour Nigeria (“Bonamour”, “Bonamour Pharmacy”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit www.bonamour.com.ng, create an account, place an order, or contact us by phone or WhatsApp. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and other applicable Nigerian laws.
By using our website or services, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the website.

2. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Your name, phone number, email address and delivery or billing address when you place an order, create an account or contact us.
- Order details, such as the products you buy, quantities, prices and delivery instructions.
- Messages you send us by WhatsApp, phone, email or the website, including questions about products.
- Health-related information you choose to share with us, for example when you ask our pharmacist for advice or send us a prescription.
Information from “Sign in with Google”: if you choose to sign in with your Google account, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not get access to your emails, contacts or other Google data.
Payment information: online card, bank transfer and USSD payments are processed by Paystack. We do not see or store your full card details. We receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction details, such as the amount, date and payment reference.
Information collected automatically: when you use the website we and our service providers collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site (for example from a search engine or a link). This helps us run and improve the website.
3. How we use your information
- To process, deliver and follow up on your orders, including same-day delivery in Lagos and delivery to other locations.
- To take payments, confirm bank transfers and handle cash on delivery.
- To create and manage your account, including signing you in with Google if you choose that option.
- To answer your questions and give pharmacist advice when you ask for it.
- To send you messages about your order, such as order confirmations and delivery updates.
- To send you offers and health tips, only where you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
- To keep our website secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and fix problems.
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve our products and services.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including tax and pharmacy record-keeping.
4. Our legal bases for using your information
Under the NDPA we rely on one or more of the following:
- Contract: we need your details to fulfil your order and manage your account.
- Consent: for example, for marketing messages, for health information you choose to share with us, and when you choose to sign in with Google. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep or share certain records.
- Legitimate interests: to run, secure and improve our business in ways you would reasonably expect.
5. Health information
Because we are a pharmacy, some information about you, such as the medicines you buy or a prescription you send us, may reveal information about your health. We treat this information as sensitive. We use it only to supply your order and give you advice, we limit access to staff who need it, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.
6. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed, with:
- Delivery partners and riders, who receive your name, phone number and delivery address so they can deliver your order.
- Paystack, which processes online payments.
- Google, which provides “Sign in with Google” and our business email service.
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to contact us or order through WhatsApp.
- Our website hosting and technical service providers, who store and run the website for us.
- Government or regulatory authorities, where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us and must keep it secure.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers, such as Google, Meta and our website hosting provider, may store or process information outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards allowed under the NDPA, such as the provider’s data protection commitments, to keep your information protected.
8. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for it to work, for example to keep items in your cart, keep you signed in and complete checkout. We also use cookies that record how you arrived at our website (for example from Google, WhatsApp or another website), which helps us understand where our customers come from. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the website, such as the cart and checkout, may then not work properly.
9. How long we keep your information
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. Order and payment records are kept for as long as required by Nigerian law, including tax and pharmacy record-keeping rules. Account information is kept while your account is active. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
10. How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including a secure (HTTPS) website, password-protected systems and limited staff access. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a breach occurs, including notifying the Nigeria Data Protection Commission and affected customers where the law requires it.
11. Your rights
Under the NDPA you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
- ask us to restrict or stop certain uses of your information, including marketing;
- ask for your information in a format you can take to another provider;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it;
- complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you are unhappy with how we handle your information.
To use any of these rights, contact us at bonamournig@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at 0916 577 4708. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on your request.
12. Sign in with Google: removing access
If you signed in with Google, you can remove Bonamour’s access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/connections. You can also ask us to delete your Bonamour account and the Google details we received.
13. Children
Our website is not intended for children under 18. Parents or guardians should place orders on behalf of children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
14. Links to other websites
Our website may link to other websites and services, such as WhatsApp or Paystack. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Please check this page regularly.
