What it is
WAIPA ACT X 12 TABLETS contains dihydroartemisinin 30mg with piperaquine phosphate 225mg per tablet, an artemisinin-based antimalarial combination.
What it is used for
It is used to treat uncomplicated malaria.
How to use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually over 3 days. Complete the full course even if you feel better. The number of tablets depends on body weight. Take it on an empty stomach, with water, and avoid high-fat meals around each dose.
Cautions
Tell your doctor if you have a heart rhythm problem or take other medicines that affect heart rhythm. See a doctor urgently if symptoms get worse, or if you vomit a dose, become very drowsy or cannot keep fluids down. Tell our pharmacist about any other medicines you take, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
