Advantan cream contains the active substance methylprednisolone aceponone, which is a glucocorticoid with a strong action for topical use. After topical application to the skin, methylprednisolone aceponate has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic effect

and decongestant on the blood vessels, causing the resolution of, among others, symptoms such as erythema, edema, exudation, pruritus, burning, pain.

indications:

Eczema (atopic dermatitis, neurodermatitis), contact dermatitis, eczematous eczema, non-allergic eczema, eczema in children.

Contraindications:

- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or any of the other ingredients in the Advantan cream

- when in treated places

- skin infections caused by bacteria (eg tuberculosis or syphilis) or fungi

- changes associated with viral diseases (e.g. shingles, chickenpox and others)

- rosacea

- acne

- peridural dermatitis

- ulcers

- local reactions after vaccination

- atrophic skin diseases (atrophy) Do not use in children under 2 years.

Dosage:

Advantan cream is intended only for topical application to the skin.

Typically, the drug is applied to a thin layer of diseased skin once a day.

The drug should not be used in adults for more than 12 weeks, and in children not longer than 4 weeks.

Composition:

1 g of the cream contains 1 mg methylprednisolone aceponate.

In addition, the drug contains: decyl oleate, glycerol monostearate, cetostearyl alcohol, solid fat (Witepsol W 35), triglyceride fatty acid mixture (Softisan 378), macrogol stearate, glycerol 85%, edetate disodium, benzyl alcohol, butylated hydroxytoluene, purified water.

Pregnancy:

Ask your doctor for advice before taking any medicine.

Do not use the drug during the first trimester of pregnancy. Your doctor may advise you to take this medicine in pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers after carefully assessing the risk-benefit ratio of the treatment.

Nursing women should not use Advantan cream on the skin of the breast.

Avoid using the drug on large areas of the skin, long-term or under an occlusive dressing.

undesirable effects:

Like all medicines, Advantan cream can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The most frequently observed adverse reactions during clinical trials were burning and pruritus at the injection site.
