What it is
Amlozaar (Amlodipine/ Losartan) x 10 Tablets contains amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker) and losartan (an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB)).
What it is used for
It is used to treat high blood pressure and to prevent angina (chest pain caused by heart disease).
How to use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change the dose or stop early without medical advice.
Cautions
Ankle swelling, flushing and headache can occur, especially in the first weeks. Do not stop taking it suddenly without talking to your doctor. It must not be taken in pregnancy. It can cause dizziness and raise potassium levels, so avoid potassium supplements unless your doctor advises them. Tell our pharmacist about any other medicines you take, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
