Description
What it is
Brimopress contains brimonidine, an alpha-2 agonist eye drop. It lowers eye pressure by reducing the fluid the eye makes and helping it drain.
What it is used for
Doctors prescribe brimonidine for open-angle glaucoma and raised eye pressure, alone or with other glaucoma drops.
How to use it
Use exactly as prescribed. If you use more than one eye drop, wait at least 5 minutes between them.
Cautions
Brimonidine must not be used in babies and young children. It can cause tiredness or drowsiness, so take care when driving. Tell your doctor if you have heart or blood pressure problems or depression, or take antidepressants.
