Cautions
It can cause dark stools, constipation or stomach upset; taking it with food helps. Keep it well out of reach of children, as iron overdose is dangerous. Tea and coffee reduce absorption. It can cause next-day drowsiness; do not drive if affected. Not recommended in pregnancy or for children unless a doctor advises it. Food supplements should not replace a varied, balanced diet or any medicine prescribed by your doctor.
