What it is used for
Licorice is traditionally taken to support the stomach lining and digestive comfort.
How to take it
Take as directed on the label, usually with food and a glass of water. Do not take more than the recommended daily amount.
Cautions
Non-DGL licorice can raise blood pressure and lower potassium; avoid it if you have high blood pressure, heart or kidney disease, or are pregnant. Aloe latex products act as strong laxatives. Avoid in pregnancy and check with your doctor if you take diabetes medicine. Food supplements should not replace a varied, balanced diet or any medicine prescribed by your doctor.
