What it is
SNAKE VEMON ANTISERUM IP contains snake venom antiserum (antivenom), an immunoglobulin.
What it is used for
It neutralises snake venom and is used in hospital to treat serious snakebite.
How to use it
It is given in hospital by a doctor or nurse, exactly as prescribed. Store it as stated on the pack.
Cautions
Allergic reactions are common, so it is only given where they can be treated. Anyone bitten by a snake should get to hospital as fast as possible and keep still; do not cut the wound or apply a tight tourniquet. Store it as stated on the pack.
