What it is
INJ RELIFERON INTERFERON ALPHA 2B 3MIU contains interferon alfa-2b, an immune-modifying medicine.
What it is used for
It is used for some viral infections, such as chronic hepatitis B, and for some cancers, under a specialist.
How to use it
This injection is given by a doctor, nurse or trained health worker, or by you after proper training, exactly as prescribed. Store it as stated on the pack.
Cautions
Flu-like symptoms are common. It can cause low mood or depression, and can affect blood counts, the thyroid and the liver, so regular checks are needed. Tell your doctor straight away about mood changes. Store it in a refrigerator. Tell our pharmacist about any other medicines you take, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
