Description
What it is
Crescent Foilc Acid 5Mg x 28 Tablets contains folic acid 5 mg, a vitamin (folate).
What it is used for
It is used to treat folate-deficiency anaemia and, on medical advice, before and during pregnancy for women at higher risk of neural tube defects.
How to use it
Take it as directed on the pack or by our pharmacist. Do not take more than the stated dose.
Cautions
The 5 mg strength is a high dose; most women need only 400 micrograms a day before and during early pregnancy unless a doctor advises the higher dose. Tell our pharmacist about any other medicines you take, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
