Description
What it is
Laxat contains latanoprost, a prostaglandin eye drop. It lowers pressure inside the eye by helping fluid drain out of it.
What it is used for
Doctors prescribe latanoprost for open-angle glaucoma and raised eye pressure (ocular hypertension).
How to use it
Use exactly as prescribed, usually one drop in the affected eye once a day in the evening. Using it more often can make it work less well.
Cautions
Latanoprost can slowly darken the coloured part of the eye and make eyelashes longer and darker. Remove contact lenses before use and wait 15 minutes before putting them back. Check the storage instructions on the pack; unopened bottles are usually kept in the fridge.
