Description
What it is
OTOMED EAR DROP contains fludrocortisone (a corticosteroid), neomycin and polymyxin B (antibiotics) and lidocaine (a local anaesthetic).
What it is used for
They treat painful, inflamed outer ear infections: the antibiotics fight bacteria, the steroid reduces swelling and the lidocaine eases pain.
How to use it
Use it exactly as prescribed. Wash your hands, lie on your side, put the drops into the ear canal without the tip touching the ear, and stay still for a minute.
Cautions
For the ear only. Do not use if the eardrum may be perforated unless a doctor advises. Use only for as long as prescribed. See a doctor if it does not improve in a few days. Tell our pharmacist about any other medicines you take, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
