What it is
MIKASPOR (MICAFUNGIN 100MG) INJECTION contains micafungin, an echinocandin antifungal.
What it is used for
It treats serious fungal infections such as Candida infections of the blood and oesophagus, and helps prevent fungal infections in some stem cell transplant patients.
How to use it
It is given in hospital by a doctor or nurse, exactly as prescribed. Store it as stated on the pack.
Cautions
It is given as a drip. It can affect the liver, so liver tests are checked during treatment. Allergic reactions can occur. Tell our pharmacist about any other medicines you take, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
