What it is
RELIANCE TENECTEPLASE INJECTION (TENECTEREL) 40MG contains tenecteplase, a clot-dissolving (thrombolytic) medicine.
What it is used for
It is used in hospital to dissolve a blood clot blocking an artery of the heart during a heart attack, to restore blood flow.
How to use it
It is given in hospital by a doctor or nurse, exactly as prescribed. Store it as stated on the pack.
Cautions
It can cause serious bleeding, including bleeding in the brain. It is not used in people with recent bleeding, recent major surgery or stroke, or very high blood pressure. It must only be given where emergency care is available. Tell our pharmacist about any other medicines you take, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
