Description
What it is
Remedy Sodium Bicarbonate 500mg x 100 Tablets contains sodium bicarbonate, an alkalising medicine.
What it is used for
Sodium bicarbonate tablets are used on medical advice to correct too much acid in the blood, for example in chronic kidney disease, and to make urine less acidic. They can also relieve occasional indigestion.
How to use it
Take it as directed on the pack or by our pharmacist. Do not take more than the stated dose.
Cautions
They contain a lot of sodium, so they are not suitable for people on a low-salt diet or with heart failure, high blood pressure or swelling unless a doctor advises it. Do not use them for indigestion for more than 2 weeks without advice, and take them 2 hours apart from other medicines. Tell our pharmacist about any other medicines you take, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
