What it is
Treviamet 50Mg/500Mg (Sitagliptin/ Metformin) x 7 Tablets contains metformin (a biguanide diabetes medicine) and sitagliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor diabetes medicine).
What it is used for
It is used to control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes, alongside diet and exercise.
How to use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change the dose or stop early without medical advice.
Cautions
Take it with meals to reduce stomach upset. Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems or before any scan with contrast dye. Avoid heavy drinking. Stop and see a doctor if you get severe stomach pain. Tell our pharmacist about any other medicines you take, and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
